Equipment for Genevieve

We spent some time gathering materials so that I could make Genevieve some equipment. I wanted to make her a proper weapon first so that she could defend herself.

"Alright Genevieve," I said. "What type of weapon do you want?"

I explained to her that I could make her a sword, axe, hammer, bow, a pair of knives, or a spear.

Genevieve stood there in deep thought. "I think I'd like to try out a spear."

"Sounds good," I replied. "I'll begin working on it right away."

It took a little while to make Genevieve's spear, but when I finally finished it, it was a nice piece of work.

Genevieve was outside talking to Tara. I went out and gave her the spear. She examined the spear, and then she gave it a good thrust into the air.

"So, what do you think of the spear, Genevieve?" I asked.

"Nice work, Richard. I really like it," she replied. "It's actually lighter than it looks."

"Ricky's getting pretty good at this," Tara said. "He made all of our equipment by himself."

A little while after, I began to work on some armor for Genevieve. Unfortunately, the armor took a lot longer than the spear because I messed up a few times. After a lot of hard work, I finally finished the armor and gave it to Genevieve.

"The armor looks good on you, Genevieve," I said. "Is it comfortable?"

Genevieve stretched her arms and walked to the castle door and back. "It fits good, and it's not too heavy. It works for me!"

"Good to hear," I replied.

"It's probably lighter than the armor you made for us," Tara said. "Her armor will go well with her spear."

"Yeah, that's why I made her armor a little lighter than ours," I replied to Tara. "The spear is a little heavier than our swords and your bow, so having the lighter armor will allow her to be a little more swift when attacking."

Afterwards, me and Tara took Genevieve to a nearby giant turtle's nest so that she could try out her spear. Me and Tara slew one giant turtle, and Genevieve slew the other.

"You pierced that spear right into that bastard's heart," I said to Genevieve. "Well done!"

"Good job, Genevieve," Tara said.

"Thanks, guys," Genevieve replied.

I have to say that I was quite impressed with how well Genevieve used that spear in combat. Just like Tara seems to be a natural with the bow, Genevieve seems to be a natural with the spear. Well, I'm gonna take it easy for the rest of the day. We got a lot of work set out for us in the coming days. We're gonna be doing a lot of resource gathering so that we can begin building me and Tara's house.
