After a long day of searching for Stephon and Brian and fighting giant turtles and mutants, we set up a camp and took a rest.
"So, how are you making out with all of this, Genevieve?" I asked. "You know, being in this future time and world."
"I'd rather be back at home in Willow Creek, but I'm getting used to my older age and this weird new place now," Genevieve replied.
"I think we're all doing pretty well in this new time and world," Tara said. "We went from living casual lives to being survivalists."
I looked up at the stars. "Yeah, it's definitely a different life now, that's for sure."
Sometimes I just think about life back in Willow Creek 1994. I was just that typical guy working and trying to make a life for myself. I always wanted to be that big shot movie composer, and I was doing a good job in climbing that ladder. I would have never even imagined that I would end up drifting through space and time and ending up in some hostile future world or whatever the hell you wanna call it.
"I tell you ladies one thing," I said. "If we ever find a way back to Willow Creek 1994, I'll be celebrating with a truckload of booze!"
Tara giggled. "You must be getting extremely thirsty now, Ricky!"
"Yeah!" I replied. "It's been so long since I had a nice drop of good precious booze."
"I could use a nice shot of vodka and a cold margarita myself," Genevieve said.
Man, do I ever miss having my drinks. Coming home from work and cracking open a nice cold one was just so soothing.
"So, I guess we'll continue on with our search for Stephon and Brian tomorrow in the mid-afternoon," I said. "This will give us some time to get a decent amount of sleep."
"I think that's a good plan," Tara replied. "We did a lot of searching and fighting today, so we deserve the extra rest."
"Meh, I don't need too much rest myself, but you and Tara go for it," Genevieve said. "I'll get up earlier and scout the area while you two are sleeping."
"Sounds good," I replied.

Me, Tara, and Genevieve had a nice time talking and reflecting on the moments while we stood around the campfire. Although life in this future time and world is rough and dangerous, we still gotta try and make the most out of it. Well, Tara and Genevieve are already asleep. I guess I'm gonna crash as well. We got a big day ahead of us tomorrow.
