"Run like fucking hell!" I yelled as loud as I could to Tara and Genevieve. "That thing is the size of a colossus!"

While we were trying to find a path that could take us up the cliff to see if that outpost was a friendly settlement, this giant covered in armor and holding an enormous axe came out of nowhere and attacked us.

I saw Genevieve jabbing her spear into the giant's leg and Tara firing her arrows at it from the distance.

"Tara, Genevieve, just run!" I yelled. "We don't stand a chance in hell against this thing."

"Ricky, you run," Tara shouted. "We'll slow it down."

"You run, Richard," Genevieve yelled. "We'll catch up to you."

I clenched my fists in anger. "I'm not leaving you two behind."

"Ricky, run!" Tara shouted. "It's coming for you!"

"Oh shit!" I yelled as I began to run.

I was running as fast as I could. I didn't want to look back, but I was worried about Tara and Genevieve.

ree

I ran for a bit more, and then I stopped to look back to see if I could see Tara and Genevieve, but the only thing that I saw was the giant, and it was right behind me.

ree

I turned around and continued to run. My heart was beating a thousand miles an hour. I ran for a bit longer, and then I turned around again to see if I could see Tara and Genevieve this time, but as I turned around, the giant caught up with me and hit me with the blunt side of its axe sending me to the ground.

ree

I got up from the ground and tried to run, but the giant hit me with the blunt side of its axe again sending me flying into the air.

ree

At this point, I was surprised that I was still alive. I was very lucky that the giant only hit me with the blunt side of its axe both times. I got up and ran as fast as I could towards a nearby cliff that was in front of me.

ree

I took a leap of faith and jumped off of the cliff which turned out not to be very high. I turned around and looked back, and to my surprise, the giant had stopped following me.

ree

Not too long after, I heard a noise hitting the ground. It was Genevieve. She jumped off of the cliff and was right behind me.

"I'm glad you're alright, Genevieve," I said. "Where's Tara?"

"She shot the giant in the eye with an arrow, and then it started following her," Genevieve replied. "She told me to run and that she would catch up as soon as possible."

Tara literally saved my life once again. The reason why the giant stopped following me was because she got its attention by taking out its eye with an arrow.

"We have to go back and find her," I said.

"She'll be fine, Richard," Genevieve replied. "The creature was having a hard time focusing its remaining eye and was stumbling. Tara's clever, and I think she's just trying to lose it in the woods so that it doesn't follow us."

"Alright, then let's go over to the hill," I said. "We'll wait for her there."

ree

Me and Genevieve made our way to the top of the hill.

ree

Shortly after reaching the top of the hill, Tara came running towards me and Genevieve from a bush.

"Hello!" Tara shouted.

"Tara, you had me worried!" I said.

"I'm okay, Ricky," Tara replied as she blew me a kiss. "I just had to take care of that nasty giant so that it wouldn't bother us anymore."

ree

Me, Tara, and Genevieve grouped together on the hill, and Tara began to explain how she handled the giant.

"So, after I shot the arrow into the giant's eye, I told Genevieve to run and the creature started to follow me," Tara said.

"Well, you saved my life, Tara," I replied. "That thing was only seconds away from tearing me apart."

"I think you saved all of our lives, Tara," Genevieve replied. "It was huge and fast, and it would've caught up to us and hunted every one of us down."

"So, what exactly did you do to the giant to make it go away?" I asked Tara.

"Well, as it was following me, it kept on stumbling because it had a hard time seeing with only one eye," Tara replied. "I continued firing my arrows at it to lure it to a nearby cliff, and then down it went."

"Well played, Tara," Genevieve responded.

"Good job, Tara," I said. "That was a brilliant tactic."

"Thanks, you two," Tara replied. "I'm just glad that we're all safe from that thing now."

"Alright, I think it's time to head back to Camp Silverwater," I said. "We'll have to check out that outpost on the cliff another time."

ree

I don't think I've ever run so fast in my life as I did today. There are giant spiders, giant crocodiles, etc. Now, there are giants that are the size of trees!? What the hell is this world? Anyways, we're just heading back to Camp Silverwater right now. Sadly, we still haven't had any luck in finding Stephon or Brian. I guess we'll have to try exploring another area when we go searching for them again.
