A Tower in the Night Sky

Me and Tara spent the last while building the tower. Although we've completed a lot of it, we still have quite a bit of work left to do. By the time me and Tara were done working on the tower for today, night had fallen upon us. We went to the roof of the tower to check out the nighttime scenery.

"It's so beautiful up here, Ricky." Tara said. "Look at all of the stars, the moon, and the landscape."

"Yeah, it's pretty nice," I replied. "It's almost like we're in a dream."

Tara looked into the distance. "It feels so peaceful right now."

Peace... That is something I sure do miss. Since we've been in this future time and world, we haven't really had much for peace.

"You know, Tara," I said. "I think right now is probably one of the most peaceful moments we've had since being here."

"I know," Tara replied as she hugged me. "This tower makes me feel safe."

"That alone makes building this tower worth it," I said to Tara as I kissed her.

Me and Tara held each other in our arms and continued to enjoy the peace and comfort of the moment.

"So, are we still going to go on that date to the shore after we finish building the tower, Ricky?" Tara asked.

"Absolutely, babe," I replied. "And I'm looking forward to it."

Tara kissed me on the cheek. "Me too, Ricky."

Me and Tara had such a wonderful time together on top of the tower tonight. I wish things were like that all of the time, but I know that's not possible with all of the danger that lurks around in this future time and world. Every day, you just have to be prepared for the unknown because anything could happen...
