After finishing up with the platform to reach the top of the destroyed bridge, me, Tara, Genevieve, and Stephon searched the bridge for whatever that light was that fell from the sky last night. Unfortunately, we didn't find anything.
"It looks like there's nothing here," Tara said.
"Damn," I replied. "That was a waste of time."
"Fuck," Stephon shouted.
"This is quite disappointing," Genevieve responded.
We weren't ready to give up just yet. We continued throughout the day searching for the light, and when the night fell upon us, we could see something emitting off a bright radiant light from the distance.
"Look over there," I said. "There's a bright light."
"We need to track it down," Tara replied. "I'm sure that has to be the light that fell from the sky the other night."
"Yeah, I think so too," Genevieve responded to Tara.
"Well, fuck me," Stephon said. "Let's go track this fucking thing down and put a rest to our curiosity."
When we finally tracked down what was emitting the light, we were all lost in a state of awe. The light that fell from the sky the other night was a portal.
"Look at that," Tara said, "It's a portal just like the one from back in Glimmerbrook 1994."
I looked at the portal with much curiosity and excitement. "Could this be our way home?"
"Fuck yeah," Stephon shouted. "The Blue Velvet is just on the other side of that portal."
"I'm totally happy to leave this place behind," Genevieve said.
The joy and excitement that we were experiencing at that moment was just so overwhelming. We were all just so desperate to leave this brutal future time and world behind.
"Wait a minute, everyone," Tara said as she looked at the portal. "Did you see that?"
"See what?" I replied.
"Am I missing something?" Stephon responded.
"I'm not sure what you're talking about, Tara," Genevieve said.
Tara continued to look at the portal. "For a brief second, there was a face that appeared through the portal."
It was at that moment when Genevieve and Stephon were rendered unconscious and the portal began to pull me and Tara towards it.
"Shit, Genevieve and Stephon are unconscious," I shouted to Tara. "And this damn portal is pulling us towards it."
"Ricky, I can't move," Tara yelled.
"I'm frozen too," I shouted. "Shit, it's gonna pull us through it."
"Ricky!" Tara yelled as I saw her go through the portal.
"Tara..." I shouted.

"Ricky, we're drifting through space and time," Tara says.
"Look at us, Tara," I reply. "We're becoming younger."
"That light, it's so bright," Tara says.
"That's the colorful world that I keep seeing in my experiences," I reply.
"It's so beautiful," Tara responds.
"The world is pulling us towards it," I say to Tara.
"Ricky, you look like a teenager," she replies.
"So do you, Tara," I respond.
"What's happening to us?" Tara asks.
"I think something is sending us to the world of the far past," I reply.
