I knocked on the door to the house, but there wasn't an answer. I knocked on the door a second time, but again there was no answer. I turned the doorknob to see if it was unlocked, and surprisingly it was.
"What do you say, Tara," I said. "Should we go in?"
"I've never been the type to just walk into someone's house uninvited," Tara replied. "But let's go take a peek inside anyways!"
Me and Tara entered the house. It was mostly dark, and we could see furniture, books, and other various items in front of us.
"There doesn't seem to be any electricity in the house," I said to Tara. "The only source of light seems to be coming from those candles to the right of us."
"Look at those books, Ricky," Tara responded. "They look so ancient."

To the right of us, there was a bed with drapes around it, a table with books on it, a bookcase with several books in it, a chair, and a table with candles on it.
"That bed looks really inviting," Tara said.
"Yeah, it looks pretty damn comfortable," I replied.
"There are so many books in this place," Tara said. "This place is like a small library."

To the left of us, there was the kitchen. There was a strange-looking fridge, dark wooden counters, some kind of an antique-looking stove, a sink, and several other objects scattered on the walls and around the area.
"That's one fancy-looking stove," I said to Tara. "It looks like it must be operated by burning wood underneath it."
"I wonder how that refrigerator works without electricity," Tara responded.
"Beats me," I replied. "Well, I guess we should have a seat and wait for the owner of the house to come home."
"Let's go sit at the table," Tara said.

A house with no electricity, I must say that we really are in the old times. Anyways, me and Tara are just sitting at the table and talking right now while we wait for the owner of the house to come home. Hopefully, whoever the owner is, won't get angry that we're in their home.
