Attacked by a Beast

As me and Tara were searching for materials to make weapons with, we were attacked by a beast. It was one of those wild wolf-like creatures that we saw earlier.

"Tara, look out," I shouted. "One of those wild dog-like beasts is rushing towards us."

"I see it, Ricky," Tara shouted back.

The beast went straight for Tara. I immediately jumped in to defend her. We were both kicking and punching the beast, but we were hardly injuring it.

As me and Tara continued fighting off the beast, I saw a large rock on the ground. I picked it up and smashed it over the beast's head putting an end to its life.

I put the large rock back down on the ground. "Well, that worked," I said to Tara.

"Nice quick thinking, Ricky," Tara replied. "We had no chance against that beast without any weapons."

"Yeah, no kidding," I said. "Are you okay, babe?"

"I'm fine," Tara replied. "I just have a few scratches."

Me and Tara were lucky to survive the attack. It just goes to show how important it is that we need to make some weapons as soon as possible. We're continuing with our material gathering so that we can make some, but we're being extra cautious now.
