Darkness Lurks in the Ruined City

I went to get a closer look at the ruined city, and out of nowhere, I was attacked. I thought it was a bandit at first. It was smashing me up and killing me. When I was able to get a better look at my attacker, that's when I realized it wasn't a bandit. It was an undead minion. It was killing me. I was trying to run away, but it kept up with me. Tara came to my aid and managed to hold its attention long enough so I could at least catch my breath. It was a horrible fight. I nearly died, and Tara was injured. We just barely managed to defeat the undead minion. I did have enough time though to learn that the ruined city wasn't Chilliwack. I saw a faded and broken sign on the ground that said, Vernon.
