The Ruins of Vernon

Me and Tara were standing on top of the cliff and talking about Vernon.

"A memory comes to mind," I said to Tara. "I've been to Vernon before, and it was once a beautiful place."

"I could only imagine, Ricky," Tara replied. "It's sad to see another place destroyed by the falling stars."

"I think Vernon got hit harder by the falling stars than Rocky Point Shore did," I said. "Rocky Point Shore had survivors, but I don't think a single soul survived in Vernon."

Me and Tara stood there in silence for a few moments.

"I wonder why the undead are roaming around the ruins of Vernon." Tara said. "Perhaps they were the population of Vernon before the night of the falling stars."

"I don't know," I replied. "but after that fight with that undead minion, I sure don't wanna be messing with them."

Well, I'm relieved that the ruined city is not Chilliwack, but at the same time, it's still sad to see that Vernon and its population had been destroyed by the falling stars. As for the undead that are roaming around there, that's a mystery of its own.
