The Aftermath

The last thing I remembered was being struck by the demon's wing, being rammed in the back with its horns, falling to the ground and not being able to breathe, and then going unconscious. I woke up in bed, and Tara was standing beside me.

"You're finally awake, Ricky," Tara said. "You've been unconscious for quite a few hours."

"I'm still here," I replied. "What happened to the demon?"

"When you went unconscious, I had that radiating light around me again," Tara responded. "The demon got scared and ran away."

"They really do fear you, Tara," I said.

"Apparently so," Tara replied.

Tara has saved me multiple times now from being killed by the demons. Harper said that Tara has the gift of demon slaying and that the demons fear her. The girl I love and who I'll be marrying is also my guardian angel.
