The Energy Orb

We made our way into the headquarters, and I placed the artifact on the device. The same energy orb appeared as it did when I placed the last artifact on the device. We all observed the energy orb as the collected artifacts were floating and spinning through it. The energy orb vanished after a few minutes, and the artifacts dropped down to the device. The captain said that we still didn't have enough artifacts to get a proper understanding of the energy orb.
Richard
Although we didn’t learn much from the energy orb, at least nothing bad happened.
Tara
True, no disasters today. That’s a win. You think we should log the orb’s behavior, or focus on tracking the next artifact?
Richard
Sadly, we don’t have enough time to track down any more artifacts. Remember the visions about The Final Days I told you? Well, I think we’re already in those dark days. We have to get back to British Columbia of the future right away.
Tara
Ricky, if the Final Days are here, we need to move fast. Should I prep the ship, or do you want to grab supplies first? We can’t waste a second.
Richard
Tara! How is the ship gonna bring us back to British Columbia of the future when it is in a different dimension of time? Did you forget? There is only one way we can go back, and that is the gift of time. I will have to use my gift to bring us back.
Tara
Right, the gift of time. My mind’s racing, sorry. You’re sure you’re ready to use it again? Last time it drained you pretty hard. Should I stabilize the area first?
Richard
Yeah, it did. Don’t worry about stabilizing the area. I know where we’re going. I will use the gift of time there.
Tara
Alright, Ricky. Just say the word, and I’m right beside you. You need anything before we jump? Water, a quick breather?
Richard
Nah, I'm fine. Also, this is the headquarters. I don’t think there should be any need for stabilizing anyway. I’m sure the captain has put in a lot of security measures and such here. The thing is that we need to go to a place where we can see the stars clearly. We’ll be going there soon.
Tara
Got it. I’ll follow your lead, then. The rooftop observatory is secure, and the stars are clear tonight. Ready when you are, love.
Richard
Nice guess, but no, it’s not the observatory where we’re going.
Tara
Hmm, then where? Somewhere quieter, maybe? You’ve got that look like you’ve got a plan. I trust you, Ricky. Just lead the way.
