Failed to Make It Into the Vault

Unfortunately, we failed to even make it into the demonic vault. After me and Tara attacked the demons earlier, they prepared themselves and were expecting us. They did some damage, that's for sure. This ain't good. Even Genevieve noticed that the demons have become stronger. Anyways, we're just heading back to Chilliwack. We're gonna need to come up with another plan because clearly we ain't getting any more artifacts from the vault anytime soon.
Richard
Well, so much for that. If we can’t even make it through a vault, we’re definitely not gonna make it through the dark dimensional tower. If the demons are this powerful, I could only imagine how much more powerful the horror and nightmares are now.
Tara
Don't let this shake you. We retreated smart, not defeated. The vault's just one path. We'll regroup, rethink, and strike harder next time. The tower's a bigger fight, but so are we.
Richard
I’m glad you’re staying optimistic, babe. I can’t say the same for myself. I wonder what other surprises The Final Days are going to throw at us.
Tara
Optimism’s all we’ve got sometimes. The Endbringer wants us doubting ourselves, but we’ve bounced back before. Let’s rest, recalibrate, and hit them where it hurts next round.
Richard
The Endbringer, damn that abomination of horror. You’re right, Tara. We can’t show any signs of weakness because the Endbringer will use it against us.
Tara
Exactly. Every setback’s just intel. We’ll find their weak spot, just like last time. Genevieve’s already scribbling notes. We’re not done yet.
Richard
What do you mean like last time? Like, before we went to the stars?
Tara
Back when we faced the Corrupted in the ruins, remember? We adapted, found their patterns. This is no different. Just another puzzle to solve, with better stakes.
Richard
Yeah, the corrupted, in the ruins of Chilliwack. Those who didn’t die were turned into creatures of horror by the Endbringer. Death would have been a better fate.
Tara
It’s cruel, what it did to them. But we’re still here, fighting back. That means something. We’ll find a way to free them, or at least stop it from spreading.
