Another Monster Turtle Attacks

Me and Tara were continuing on with building the shelter, and then out of nowhere another giant turtle monster found its way to our camp and attacked us.

"Here comes another one, Richard," Tara yelled as she raised her axe and went into a defensive stance.

I turned my head and the beast took me by surprise. I started to rapidly swing my axe, and the beast began viciously tearing at my flesh with its large sharp claws.

"Damn it, the bastard sliced me up good," I yelled to Tara while I continued to swing my axe at the creature's head.

While Tara was hacking at the beast's back, I took some more swings at its face. With the final swing, I broke my axe.

"My axe is broken, Tara," I yelled. "Keep attacking its back."

The giant turtle was chasing after me as I was trying to defend myself with my fists. It swiped at me several times with each hit slicing deep into my flesh. Tara let out a battle cry and ran towards the beast. She fiercely struck the giant turtle in the back multiple times. Her last couple of strikes shattered the beast's shell and severed its spine killing the beast.

"Stay dead," Tara screamed while she kicked the beast's lifeless body. "You look badly injured, Richard."

"Yeah, I'm pretty beat up," I said. "I'll survive though."

I'm just standing here looking at the dead monster turtle, and I'm clenching my fists...
