As me and Tara continued making our way back to Felicia, we heard something moving in a large bush.
"Did you hear that, Tara?" I asked.
"Yes, I did," she replied. "I think the noise came from that bush."
Me and Tara went over to the bush, and a woman jumped out of it.
The woman had brown eyes and a dark bob cut style of hair.
"Stay the hell away from me," the woman yelled as she held a sharpened stick next to my throat.
"Calm down, we don't want to hurt you," Tara said.
The woman looked at Tara. "How do I know that?"
A few moments of tension passed, and then it dawned on me. This woman looked like an older Genevieve, so I went ahead and asked the woman if her name was Genevieve.
"Genevieve Teague, is that you?" I asked the woman.
The woman lowered the sharpened stick from my throat. "How do you know my name?"
At that moment, I was so thrilled and happy to know that my best friend Genevieve was standing there in front of me.
"We're older, but do you not recognize us, Genevieve?" I asked her. "It's me and Tara."
Tears dripped from Genevieve's eyes. "Oh my God, I never thought I would see you guys or anyone else again. I thought I was going to be here in this strange place alone."
Me and Tara hugged Genevieve and comforted her. We could both see that she was really distressed and upset.
"It's okay, Genevieve. Me and Richard are here now," Tara said.
I gently placed my hand on Genevieve's back. "That's right, Genevieve. You're not alone anymore."
"I hate that you guys are seeing me cry like this..." Genevieve said.
"It's okay, Genevieve. It's been a very difficult process for all of us to digest this new reality. "We all still know that you're a tough girl."
Genevieve smiled. "Oh, Richard. You sure know how to make someone smile."
"He sure does," Tara replied. "He also knows how to whine about not having booze around."
"Hey!" I shouted. "I'm desperate!"
Genevieve chuckled. "I have to admit that I'm really missing the nice cold drinks myself."
Missing the cold drinks herself, Genevieve said. I think it was safe to assume that Genevieve had been in this time and world probably around the same length of time as me and Tara. She also said that she thought she was going to be alone forever.
"Genevieve, did everyone else go through the portal?" I asked.
"Yeah. I was the last one to go through," she replied. "Stephon went first after you and Tara, then it Brian went in, and then I went through."
"I guess it's safe to say that everyone else is somewhere in this time and world," Tara said. "I guess the reason me and Richard ended up here together is because we went through the portal together."
"We're gonna have to find everyone else," I said. "This place is just too dangerous to be traveling alone in."
"I was attacked a couple of times by people who don't speak our language," Genevieve said. "Sadly, I had no choice but to end their lives before I ended up becoming the victim"
"Me and Richard sure have experienced a lot of that since being here," Tara replied to Genevieve. "These bandits are everywhere!"
"Have you ran into any monsters or giant creatures yet?" I asked Genevieve.
Genevieve gave me an odd look. "Monsters and giant creatures?"
"I guess you haven't done much exploring, Genevieve?" Tara asked.
"No, not really," she replied. "I've been mostly just hanging around this area. I've been surviving off of berries and the water from the stream."
"Alright ladies, we better get moving," I said. "It's best if we get back to Felicia before nighttime."
Genevieve looked at me with much confusion. "Felicia?"
"That's our new home," Tara replied. "Me and Richard have already begun the building process."
"We'll get you all caught up on everything later, Genevieve," I said. "For now let's just focus on getting home."

Well, we're all just heading back to Felicia now. I gave Genevieve the iron sickle I crafted so that she'd have something to help defend herself with against any bandits or creatures that we may come across on our way back.
