After a few attempts, me and Tara finally got a campfire going. We sat around the fire, had dinner, and talked for a while.

"Tara, do you remember that time we went for a lobster dinner at the Moonlight back in 1993?" I asked.

"Of course I do," Tara said while she looked at me with a cute smile across her face. "I had a lovely time with you that night."

"We always have a good time together when we go out," I said. "I tell you one thing though, Tara, that lobster tasted a hell of a lot better than that rabbit thing we had earlier."

Tara laughed as she placed her head on my shoulder, "You don't have to tell me that, Richard. I nearly puked!"

Me and Tara were holding each other as we sat there and stared at the stars together.

"Although we look about 15 or more years older, I still think that you are the most beautiful girl ever, Tara."

Tara brushed her hand against my cheek and kissed me, "You're such a sweetheart, Richard. I'm happy that you are in my life."

Me and Tara continued to look at the stars while we held each other. It was really quiet and peaceful.

I placed my hand on Tara's shoulder, "Well, my love. I think we better get some sleep. Who knows what tomorrow is gonna bring."

"Yeah, I'm getting pretty tired," Tara replied. "It's a shame that we don't have a tent or anything, but I guess the sand is good enough."

I brushed my hand down Tara's hair and kissed her on top of her head, "I'll think of something, Tara. Tomorrow, I'll try and find some resources to make us some pillows and other items to make things more comfortable. I learned a bit while watching a few survival videos on the web."

Tara got up from the ground and gave me a kiss. She then went to lie down in the sand by a nearby rock.

"I love her so much," I whispered to myself.

Tara is now asleep, and I'm just thinking about all of this. Is it even possible to find a way back home? If we came here from the past and this is the future, what the hell is the present?
