Memories

After finishing the new room at Felicia's castle earlier today, me and Tara kinda just took it easy and relaxed for the rest of the day. Night eventually came, and we set up a campfire and talked for a while about the past.

"Tara," I said. "I need a damn drink of good booze!"

"Aww, poor Ricky. He has to be sober!" Tara teased.

"It's not funny, Tara!" I said. "How I miss those days of drinking cold beer at the Blue Velvet."

I admit it. I'm kinda getting a little thirsty. I haven't had any booze since me and Tara arrived in this time and world because there is no booze. One of these days, I'm gonna have to figure out how to make some.

"I remember how much fun we had drinking and hanging out with our friends in Sulani for New Year's Eve 1993," Tara said. "When you and Stephon get together and drink, you two are just hilarious."

"That was a good night, Tara," I replied. "I was pretty drunk, but Stephon was totally smashed!"

Man, I remember that night so vividly. That trip to Sulani was well worth the money. I really loved it when me and Tara went sailing in the ocean.

"Do you remember that snowball fight we had in winter 1993?" Tara asked. "I ended up knocking you down with a snowball!"

"Yeah, you got me good!" I laughed. "We sure had a lot of good times together, Tara."

It feels like 1993 happened only last year, but in reality, it's been around 15-20 or more years based on this time and world.

"Another thing that I remember is when me and Genevieve sang at that karaoke bar," I said to Tara. "Man, that was so embarrassing, especially since you were there watching me. I don't like to sing!"

Tara laughed and placed her hand on my arm. "Oh, Ricky. You didn't do too bad. Besides, you became quite the little hummingbird after that day. I remember you singing many times after that!"

"Yeah yeah yeah!" I laughed.

Me and Tara had a nice time together reflecting back upon the past experiences we've shared. It's funny how time works. One day you're young, and then suddenly your 15-20 or more years older. That portal we walked through sure made a mess of time. Hopefully, one day me and Tara will fund a way to go back.
