Well, I gotta say that since being in this so-called future, there hasn't been a lack of danger...
As me and Tara continued walking north to try and find food and water, I noticed a figure hiding behind a large rock. I slowed down to take a closer look, and then suddenly this woman with dark hair holding a spear emerged from the large rock and started running towards Tara.
"Tara, look out," I shouted.
Tara quickly observed the area around her and saw the woman with a spear running at her. She clenched her fists as she embraced for a fight.
The dark-haired woman with the spear approached Tara and repeatedly thrusted the spear at her. Tara tried to dodge the spear thrusts as best as she could but was pierced by a couple of the attacks.

"Hold on, Tara. I'm coming to help you," I yelled as I raised my fists.
As the dark-haired woman continued to attack Tara, I quickly approached the woman and threw a few punches at her. The woman was stunned by the blunt force of my punches.
Tara went into a rage, let out a battle cry, and she hit the woman with a few solid punches with the final one fatally striking the woman on the head.
After the fight was over, I was in deep thought about what I saw, and I'm not talking about the fight. It felt as if I could see Tara's life force or whatever you want to call it. It appeared as a red bar with numbers floating above her. I don't know if this is a perk that comes with being a so-called time traveler, but she looked incredibly powerful.
"Tara, you hit that scoundrel pretty damn hard!" I said as I looked at the woman's lifeless body lying on the ground covered in blood.
"I hate to say it Richard, but I don't think we're welcome here," Tara said while she wiped some of the blood off of herself.
"Yeah, that's twice now where we've had a dangerous encounter with the inhabitants of this place." I placed my hand on Tara's arm, "Are you okay? You're bleeding."
"I'm fine. I just have a couple of small wounds from being jabbed with that spear. It's nothing serious though."
"You're a tough gal, Tara. Also, where did you learn to move like that? You did an excellent job at dodging most of those spear thrusts."
"As strange as it is, I have no idea. As soon as I saw that woman coming for me, I went into a defensive state of mind. When I threw those punches, I felt a great deal of strength flowing through me," Tara replied.
Tara leaned on my shoulder and placed her head close up against mine, "I love you, Richard."
"I love you too, Tara," I replied as I held her in my arms.
I'm glad that me and Tara are still both alive. We're still continuing on with our plan to travel what we believe is north. Hopefully, we'll at least find some water soon. We're both getting a bit thirsty now.
