The Oasis

On our way back to the oasis, me and Tara made a quick stop by the ocean to enjoy the scenery and talk for a bit.

"Well, it kinda sucks that we didn't find Genevieve, Stephon, or Brian," I said to Tara.

"It is disappointing, but we can't give up," Tara replied.

I looked across the water over to the beach, "You know, Tara, we sure had such a lovely time together for Love Day. It only seems like a few days ago, but I guess it's been about 15 or more years ago based on this time and in this world."

Tara placed her head on my shoulder, "I really liked it when we went down to the river that night and talked. It was so romantic."

I smiled at Tara and gave her a kiss, "I'm so happy that we met, Tara. I love you so much."

"I love you too, Ricky," Tara replied as she gently brushed her hand across my cheek.

After talking for a bit by the ocean, me and Tara returned to the oasis to discuss our plans to build a camp here.

"Well, it definitely looks like a nice place to set up a camp," I said to Tara.

Tara looked around and observed the scenery, "Also, Ricky, at least we wouldn't be stuck on an island like we are back at the shelter at Turtle Beach."

"You got that right, Tara. Movement and getting around would be much easier," I replied. "Well, I guess we better start gathering some resources because this camp ain't gonna build itself."

After spending a couple of days gathering resources, Me and Tara began to build the camp. We placed the foundation on the ground and had some of the walls built up.

"Well, I'm pretty damn drained," I said to Tara. "That was a lot of work!"

Tara looked pretty exhausted and looked as if she really needed to rest.

Tara sat down and made herself comfortable in the sand, "I'm so tired, Ricky."

"Let's get some rest, babe," I said. "We deserve a good night's sleep."

I kissed Tara on the cheek. She smiled and hugged me. Shortly after, we fell asleep in each other's arms.

The next day, me and Tara continued to place up some more walls.

"The camp is coming along nicely," I said to Tara. "We're gonna be finished building it in no time."

"Yuppers!" Tara replied. "We're almost out of resources though."

"Not a problem at all," I said. "With one more quick resource run, we should be able to finish this up."

Well, me and Tara are just getting ready to make one more trip to gather some resources so that we can finish building the camp. Afterwards, we're gonna continue our search to find Genevieve, Stephon, and Brian.
